Charles J. Brady

Charles was born on December 6, 1941, in New York City, the last of four sons to Irish parents Thomas and Rose-Ann (McEntire) Brady. He was a graduate of Manhattan College and served in the New York State National Guard until 1969.

Charles married his eternal love, Catherine Coughlin on September 11, 1965, and moved to Danbury in 1970. They spent loving years together while vacationing mostly in Rhode Island.

Charles retired from Union Carbide - First Brands Corp. after 35 wonderful years as Industrial Credit Manager Supervisor. After retirement, Charles volunteered as a Red Cross driver for three years.

Besides his parents, Charles was predeceased by his brothers: Thomas and John.

In addition to his wife, Catherine, Charles is survived by his brother, Phil Brady, and his sister-in-law, Arline Brady, both of Riverdale, NY; many Irish relatives; and longtime friends, Brian and Joan Crowe of Silver Spring, MD and Steven and Jennifer Wurst of Brookfield, CT.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Monday, June 15, 2026, at St. Gregory the Great Church, Danbury, CT with the Rev. Matthew Loman, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury, CT.
