Charlie’s greatest legacy was the family he loved and the generations who will carry his memory forward. He is survived by his three sons: Charles “CJ” Zarcone of Brookfield, Connecticut; Russell Zarcone of Land O’ Lakes, Florida; and Kevin Zarcone of Tampa, Florida. He was a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren: Sara Hodza, Stephen Zarcone, Samantha Zarcone, Haley Zarcone, Nicki Zarcone, Dominic Zarcone, and Raffaela Zarcone. He was also blessed with one great-grandchild, Myles Hodza, who brought another generation of love to the family.
The love Charlie shared with his family will live on through his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild. His memory will also endure in the many lives he touched, the people he encouraged, and the countless memories he created throughout his life.
Charlie was the owner and operator of Czar Vending and dedicated member of the Immaculate High School community. Through his work operating the school cafeteria and serving as the school’s golf coach, he became a familiar and valued presence in the lives of students, faculty, and the broader community. His dedication, generosity, and commitment to others left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
One of Charlie’s greatest passions was golf. He loved the game wholeheartedly and was a proud member of Ridgewood Country Club in Danbury, Connecticut. His love of golf took him around the world, where he enjoyed playing the game he cherished, forming lasting friendships, and creating memories that would stay with him throughout his life.
Charlie was also a devoted supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a cause that held a special place in his heart. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Charles will be remembered above all for his love of family, his dedication to his work, his contributions to the Immaculate High School community, and his lifelong passion for golf. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy will live on through the family he cherished and the many lives he touched.
A Mass in celebration of Charlie’s life will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Church, 138 Candlewood Lake Rd., Brookfield, CT.
He will be forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
