

Charles (Charlie) P. Gallucci III, age 64, surrounded by his wife, son, brother, and sister, died Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at home. Charles was born in Danbury on June 29, 1959, and attended St. Joseph School and graduated from Immaculate High School.
He was the husband and best friend to Mary L. Gallucci (Dondero) for 35 years. He was the beloved father to Robert Charles Gallucci of Wilton, and much loved uncle to Danielle Talone (Joseph) of Yonkers, NY, Christine Germani (Anthony) of East Rockaway, NY, Melissa Powers (David) of Port Washington, NY, John Dondero (Erica) of Manahawkin, NJ, James Dondero (Jaszmine) of Broomall, PA, Joseph Gallucci (Allison) of Durham, North Carolina, Katie Zellmann (Zack) of Phoenix, Arizona, Cara Reiske (Eddie), and Lora O’Connor (Patrick).
Charles was the son of the late Charles P. Gallucci, Jr, and is survived by his mother, Ann (Kreho) Gallucci, his sister Susan Gallucci Bellamy (Cameron), and brother Gary Gallucci (Maureen). Brother-in-Law Peter Dondero (Marie) and Sister-in-Law Judith Dondero (John). He is also survived by many cousins and a multitude of friends.
Charles worked for 26 years for Danbury Printing and Litho, and 20 years for Crane CPI. He was well respected by co-workers as well as clients. His commitment and persistence in his work reflected his character.
Charlie, as he was known to his friends, was an avid softball player in various leagues in Danbury and on teams across the state. He was also an accomplished bowler and enjoyed being a part of leagues in Danbury, where he forged lifelong friendships.
His passion was his family. He was a quiet and private man, who would help anyone in need. He loved tinkering with anything mechanical and helping family members fix anything they needed fixed. He will be sadly missed.
The family would like to thank Dr. Nicholas Blondin of Yale Neuro-Oncology, and Dr. Joshua Markus of Elite Brain and Spine of Connecticut for their expertise and outstanding care. Also, the staff of the RVNA, and Regional Hospice for their skilled and compassionate care that allowed him to be at home.
Visitation for Charles will be held Thursday, May 30, 2024, from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St, Danbury, CT. Following the visitation will be a funeral service at 11:00 AM at St. Edward the Confessor Church, 21 Brush Hill Rd, New Fairfield, CT.
