Charlotte was born to Elsie (Lander) Williams and Harry R. Williams, on August 20, 1930, and raised in Armonk, NY.
She is predeceased by her parents, her elder twin siblings, sister Elsie Harkinson and brother Harry R. Williams Jr., and loving husband, Roy A. Morgan, Sr.
She is survived by younger twin siblings, sister Norma Raysin of Florida and brother Robert Williams of Rhode Island, and two caring and devoted children; Marcia Aquilano of Lansing, MI, and Roy A. Morgan Jr., and his wife Helen, of Danbury, CT. Charlotte was also a loving “Nana Short” to three adoring grandchildren and their spouses, Kimberly (Aquilano) Aeshliman, and her husband Zach, of Dewitt, MI, Katie Morgan Rupp, and her husband Corey of Waterbury, CT, and Roy A. Morgan, III, and his wife Diane, currently serving in the United States Air Force and stationed at Buckley Air Force Base, Aurora, CO. Charlotte was also blessed to be the doting great-grandmother to 3 boys, Tyler and Sam Aeschliman, and Ryan Rupp. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends around the world, who will miss her dearly.
Charlotte graduated from Pleasantville High School in 1948 and married Roy in 1950. Together they built a beautiful home and raised their two children in Hawthorn, NY, where she lived until shortly after Roy’s passing in 1998 when she moved to Heritage Village in Southbury, CT, where she met many wonderful friends. In 2010, Charlotte moved to the Pope John Paul II Center in Danbury CT, where she was cared for by a wonderful staff, whom she adored.
Charlotte will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her. It was her wish that those she loved most not mourn for her passing, but instead come together as a family. With this in mind, a Celebration of Life will be conducted at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, in Danbury CT on Sunday, Dec. 27, 2015, at 1PM. Friends will be received beginning at 12:00pm until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Heritage Village Volunteer Ambulance Association in her memory. Donations can be made at: http://hvambulance.org/donate.html, or by mail to P.O. Box 2045, Southbury, CT 06488. Please note “Charlotte Morgan” on your donation.
