
Christine M. Pane, died at her home on August 2, 2013. She was born in Danbury in 1919 and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary McNamara Marasco. She was a graduate of St. Peter School, and worked for ten years in the cafeteria of Danbury schools. From there she was the Circulation office manager at the News Times, retiring in 1985.
She was the wife of the late Philip A. Pane. Her favorite pastime was ballroom dancing. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her many friends. She is survived by her son, Philip, and his wife, Carol; a daughter, Joyce Pasquarella and her husband, Richard; her companion and dearest friend, Robert Schirmer; her grandchildren; Karen Hilton and her husband, George, Laurence Pane, Kathleen Pane ,Philip Pane and his wife, Shannon, Jeffrey Pasquarella, Elizabeth Pasquarella Reale, Gregory Pasquarella and his wife, Patricia, Steven Pasquarella and his wife, Amanda ,and James Pasquarella and his wife, Samantha. She, also, has 19 great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren, who she loved to be with, several nieces and nephews, and her lifelong friends, Millie Barbara, and Monica Schmidt.
She was a member of St Joseph Church for 74 years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church, on Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Peter Cemetery. Friends may call at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, on Tuesday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
