Denise was predeceased by her beloved son, Matthew who was the light of her life.
Denise attended Our Lady of Sorrows Grammar School and Good Counsel Academy High School, both in White Plains. As a teenager, she met Guido, the love of her life, and they married in their twenties. Together they moved to Purchase, NY, where they raised their son.
A truly beautiful person, Denise will be remembered for her thoughtful and kind nature, her loving spirit, and her generous heart. She had a special light about her that touched everyone she met. Her love for children and animals knew no bounds, and as a mother and aunt, she gave endlessly.
Denise owned a business in West Harrison and developed a deep love for the Harrison community. She founded the Harrison Beautification Committee, undertaking numerous projects including the installation of the clock tower and overseeing the yearly plantings of gardens throughout the town.
After the loss of her son, Denise channeled her creativity into Dolce Denise, a home-baked goods business. She sold her incredible desserts and specialties at the West Harrison Farmers Market every Sunday, where customers came faithfully for her renowned chocolate chip cookies and other beloved treats.
In her later years, Denise became passionate about the Wolf Conservation Center in North Salem. She joined their Facebook community, providing daily weather reports morning and evening, and made regular trips to visit the wolves she cherished.
Above all, Denise loved openly and freely, giving of herself completely to anyone who needed her. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and unconditional love. A beautiful angel now watches over all who knew and loved her.
