Clason was born in Danbury, son of the late Clason and June (Jackson) Reed, Sr. He graduated from Danbury High School and served in Vietnam with the Air Force. He had worked a long career for CL&P as a meter reader until his retirement.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Clason Leroy Reed, III and daughter Lisa A. Reed, his brothers: Allen, Matthew and Garfield Reed, his sisters: Carolyn Wright, Donna Reed and Mildred Reed and his grandson Nathaniel Jackson Reed.
There will be no calling hours. Interment will be private. A memorial service will be held at a later date and time. Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, is in charge of arrangements.
