OBITUARY

Daniel William Butera

December 7, 1983March 24, 2020

Daniel William Butera, 36, died unexpectedly on March 24th, 2020. He was the son of Nancy Jette and the late Donald F. Butera.

Dan was born at home in New Milford, CT on December 7th, 1983. He was our “Pearl Harbor Baby”. He graduated from Henry Abbott Tech in the field of Electronic Technology. He had a job he loved as Lead Warehouse Manager for ROMTech in Brookfield, CT. He previously worked for ITW Trident, ASML, Duracell, and Neeltran.

As a child, Dan loved to play drums, and loved music. Much to our chagrin, his dream from earliest teen years was to become a DJ. In the last few years, he was able to do that as a hobby, which made him incredibly happy. My regret is that I didn’t encourage him more, wishing as parents do that he had more “sensible” goals.

Dan also loved hanging out with friends, riding roller coasters, going to concerts, and playing video games with his brother. He had a serious passion for life, and always believed he was invincible. Dan adored his beautiful children, Christian and Giuliana Butera, and loved taking them to amusement parks.

Dan leaves behind his best friend and brother, David Butera and his fiancé Alysha Scanlon. Amanda Pickert, mother of Christian and Giuliana . His loving girlfriend, Elise Simcoe and her children. His heartbroken mother, Nancy Jette, and grandfather, Leo Jette Sr. His aunts and uncles: Donna and Robert Spremulli, Leo and Anna Jette, Patricia and Robert Woodworth, Ralph and Helen Butera, Maryanne and Richard Fotion, Eugene Butera, and Michael Wright. Also surviving are his many beloved cousins and dear friends.

Dan was predeceased by his paternal grandparents Ralph and Rose Butera, his maternal grandmother Rita Jette, and his dad, Donald Butera.

Our heartbreak is profound and Dan will be missed beyond measure. His zest for life and his kind soul will live on in our hearts. May he rest in the arms of God and be welcomed by those he loved who have gone before him. In his honor I ask that you cherish and encourage your children to fulfill their dreams.

A Memorial Service will be held at a time to be announced.

Nancy and my brother Dave, I love you guys. Danny, It would take days to get through half of the memories we all shared. Growing up down the road from each other in Danbury, always up to no good. Summers in New Milford, prank calling every house in CT and laughing for hours..also up to no good. Exploring every haunted spot in the tristate area. Working together at Deeps with flip phones thinking we were the freshest guys alive. I can go on and on but my favorites were the weekends with your Dad renting horror movies or going to Hershey Park. I know you two are together now and that makes my heart happier. I'll always remember your laugh and how anyone around you would feed off of your energy. To me, you will always be the cool older brother that had every answer in the book. Love you my man. Rest easy 🙏

For as long as I can remember, you always smiled from hanging out at the house and going through tracks even in high school, to keeping in touch through out the years and even being busy as parents. You will be missed
