Danielle, born January 25, 1987 in Danbury, CT to Robert and Nellie Cole, lived an incredible and beautiful life that will leave long lasting memories for all that knew and loved her. Danielle was known for her quick wit, genius level IQ and a lovingly sassy attitude that we all adored.
Danielle was lucky in love and married her high school sweetheart, Ryan, on September 27, 2014. Ryan and Danielle created so many special memories throughout their 21 years together. Ryan will forever hold these moments in his heart and will continue to cherish the life they built. Together they share two daughters, Leila and Scarlett, both of whom inherited the many quirks and traits of Danielle’s that we all admired.
She attended Danbury schools and Boston University, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Psychology. She went on to have a career at Point72, a company she adored that provided her with love, support and stability over the last nine years.
Danielle’s passion for life and love for her friends and family showed in everything that she did - from sibling dinners, to carrying on the tradition of baking Situ’s cookies with her girls, to her thoughtful reminders of how much she adored those around her through notes, words of encouragement and her over the top banter (she loved to poke fun to get a rise out of people).
Danielle loved nothing more than her family. Her siblings Erica and Ian (affectionately known as EB and Uncle) were her best friends. She supported them, cared for them, bossed them around and loved them fiercely. Their love for Danielle is a love they will continue to cherish as they honor her memory and constantly remind her girls of what a force she was.
When Danielle received her diagnosis, she went into the next stage of her life with a level of braveness you only read about in books. She gave her journey a name (BCCTWB) because what’s a fight without a tagline? Danielle found therapy in tattoos getting over 25 since her diagnosis, she created a canvas on her skin to capture all the things that she held so dearly, little reminders of the life she lived and passions she held.
We lost a headstrong daughter, a supportive sister, a loving wife, a devoted mother, a loyal cousin, a steadfast friend, a social justice warrior and an overall champion at living life with love and a great sense of humor.
Danielle is pre-deceased by son, James; her four grandparents; cousin, Ryan; Uncle Nabeel, Uncle Jeff and Aunt Karen.
Danielle is survived by her husband Ryan; her daughters, Leila and Scarlett; her parents, Bob and Nellie Cole; her siblings, Erica and Ian; her in-laws, Bob and Kathy Kornhaas, along with their children, countless aunts, uncles, cousins, and her beloved dog, Zeke.
