David Francis Squires

David was born September 9, 1930 in St. Philips, Newfoundland, Canada the son of the late Andrew and Winifred Squires. He was one of twelve children and as a young man in Newfoundland, enjoyed the outdoors, farming and fishing for cod.

David had been a resident of Danbury for over 35 years, previously residing with his family in Stamford. He was employed as a truck driver with Froelich Transportation of Stamford.

In addition to his wife of 60 years, David is survived by two daughters: Kathy A. Hennessey of New Milford and Linda DeMott of Stamford, 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son David Squires Jr. and daughter Gale Cardillo.

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, October 27th at 10:30 am in the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street Danbury. Burial will be in the Wooster Cemetery, Danbury. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6pm to 8pm
