

Dolores Pietropaolo, 93, of New Fairfield, CT passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026, at The Danbury Regional Hospice after being diagnosed with melanoma several years ago. She was the wife of the late Alfred J. Pietropaolo.
Dolores was born in Yonkers, NY, the eldest child of Andrew and Mary Dzubak. She attended Holy Trinity School through eighth grade interrupted by one year when she lived in New Jersey. She graduated from Commerce High School in 1950.
She worked in data processing before she married Alfred Pietropaolo on February 5, 1955. They were married 53 years until his death in 2008. She raised her three children before reentering the workforce when her girls were grown. She ended her career working at People’s Westchester and retired in 1993.
Dolores enjoyed playing mahjong with her neighbors and friends. She also belonged to The Ladies’ Guild at Saint Edward the Confessor Church, as well as the Danbury-New Fairfield Women’s Club.
Dolores was predeceased by both her sister, Janet Yuscak; and her brother, Matthew Dzubak.
She is survived by her three daughters: Diane Vince and her husband, Jeffrey; Loretta Blum and her husband, Edward; and Nancy Lemoine and her husband, Brian; her grandchildren: Andrew Vince and his wife, Meaghan; Michael Vince; William Lemoine; Adam Lemoine; as well as Denis Linkowski and his wife, Maura; Lauren Whipple and her husband, Nicholas; Adam Blum and his wife; and Christine Blum and her husband. She was also blessed with multiple great grandchildren including Cecilia Vince.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at St. Edward the Confessor the Church, 21 Brush Hill Rd, New Fairfield, CT with the Rev. Timothy Iannacone officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
Friends will be received from 9:00am - 10:30am on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, CT.
