September 10, 2020.
He was a month shy of his 61st birthday. He grew up in Greenwich, Connecticut and lived in Danbury, CT and Bethel, CT.
He graduated from Nathaniel Hawthorne College and was a flight instructor at Westchester
Airport. Doug worked for Preferred Utilities in Danbury, CT for 20 years, but spent the past 26
years doing his favorite job of all, being a Dad.
Doug enjoyed the simple things in life: playing his favorite songs on his acoustic guitar, the
ocean, lifting weights, grilling, and pumpkin pie.
Doug is survived by his beautiful wife, Debbi, whom he loved through thick and thin, his two
children, Douglas and Morgan, who carry on his incredible sense of humor and charm, his
mother, Ellie Morgan, his wonderful siblings, nieces and nephews, many friends, and extended
family.
Doug was hardworking, humble, steadfast, and a rock for all who knew and loved him. He will
truly be missed.
If you want to feel close to Doug, throw on a Tom Petty song and he will be right there with you.
A private Memorial Mass will be celebrated for Doug at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Danbury.
A celebration of life will be scheduled and communicated at a later date.
