Tony is survived by his wife, Louise; daughter, Demaine; son, Bowie; mother, Kujtime; sister-in-law, Jill; brother-in-law, Mark; nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Tony passed after a long illness, cared for by his wife, mother, family and a large community of friends, who were all by his side to say goodbye.
Tony was born in Tirana, Albania and was the only child of Kujtime and the late Agim Erebara. Tony moved to the United States at the age of 26 where he met his wife Louise while working at the same company. Tony was a plumber by trade and more recently worked for the New York City Department of Education. His work didn’t end at 5pm though and Tony shared his skills at home through many projects for his family and friends. Tony’s pride and joy however was his wife, his family and his friends. He created a home where all these people came together regularly and it was a home always filled with a buzz of laughter and chat.
Tony will be dearly missed by his extended family in his native Albania and England and a loyal community of friends in Astoria (NY) and Danbury (CT).
Family and friends will be received at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, CT on Sunday, November 2, 2025, between12:00pm and 4:00pm
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that in memory of Tony, donations may be made to Compassionate Care ALS, 17 Chase Rd., Falmouth, MA 02540 (http://www.ccals.org) or to the Fanny Pack Foundation (https://www.fannypackfoundation.org)
These organizations were a lifeline to Tony and his family as they came to terms with his illness and remained a constant support throughout their journey.
