Eileen Alma Bailey

She was born in Englewood, NJ, on November 23, 1928, the daughter of the late Rev. Bernard and Elsie (Langner) Janssen.

Eileen graduated from Immanuel Lutheran School and Danbury High School. She was a lifelong, dedicated, and faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her loving children Wayne, Kraig, Diane, and Lenore (Michael), along with her extended family, many nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as her sister-in-law Karen Bailey. Eileen will be sincerely missed by all.

She was predeceased by her husband John and her brother Werner.

The family would like to thank the staff at Hancock Hall for the loving care provided to Eileen during her stay there.

A service in celebration of Eileen’s life will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Danbury CT on June 24, 2023, at 11 AM. A luncheon reception will be held immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Eileen’s name to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Macular Degeneration Association, or the charity of one’s choice.
