long struggle with cancer at Hancock Hall in Danbury, CT with her family by her side. She was born in Danbury on August 17, 1949 to James and Alice (Costello)
Jones.
In 1969, Eileen graduated from Immaculate Conception High School. During her career she worked for
many Danbury area business including; Sperry’s, Automation Industries and Gilbert & Bennett. She was most recently employed by Chemical Marketing as a customer services representative in New Milford.
In 1983 she became an active member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Danbury as well as serving
on the board.
Eileen loved traveling to the coast of Maine, especially the beautiful beaches and lighthouses. She
enjoyed spending time with her family and playing with her great grand son. Among her favorite
pastimes were listening to music particularly “Just my Imagination” by the Temptations, and rooting for
the Boston Red Sox.
Eileen is survived by her daughter Melanie Jessica Cole (Timothy), her grand children: Shanice and Javan
Cole, her great grand son, Shakur Paul, all of Danbury. Her Siblings: Mary Jones of NYC and Robert
Jones of San Diego CA, her nieces and families: Alison Myers of Sharon Springs, NY, Megan Jones of
Hawthorne, NY and Sarah Almada of San Diego, CA in addition to many grand and great-grand nieces
and nephews.
Eileen was a selfless and caring woman as well as a loyal and genuine friend. She was a devout Christian
willing to help anyone in need with open arms and a loving heart.
