Elizabeth (Betty) Armstrong-Gore, 75, of Danbury, CT, beloved wife of the late Richard Gore, passed away at home on August 1, 2024. She was born on April 19, 1949, to the late Thomas and May Armstrong (Sheeran). Betty received her BS and MS degrees in Education from Western Connecticut State University in Danbury, Connecticut. She was a teacher in the Bethel Public School System for 44 years.
For many years Betty spent endless hours crafting a variety of items. She was especially fond of quilting, needlepoint, and crocheting. If you are one of the many friends and family blessed by a hand crafted gift from Betty, hold it in your hands and remember the love that made it. She was an avid reader and enjoyed participating in her book club with friends. Betty loved doing puzzles and vacationing with friends on Cape Cod each summer.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday, August 16, 2024, from 9 AM to 11 AM at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury. CT.
A funeral service will follow at 11 AM.
A committal service will take place immediately following at Saint Lawrence O’Toole Catholic Cemetery, 780 NY-22, Brewster, NY.
