Eugene met his loving wife Karen in November 1966, and they were married February 3, 1968. Beside his beloved wife Karen of 56 years, Eugene is survived by his daughter Celeste Walker (Michael) of New Milford, son Eugene W. Comerford, Jr. of Danbury, granddaughter Ashley Turner of New Milford, sister Lynda Sfayer of Danbury, and many loved family and friends.
Eugene proudly served his country as a Chief Warrant Officer 4 in the United States Army Reserve for 43 years. He also worked as a Safety Advisor for the State of Connecticut for 38 years.
One of Eugene’s greatest joys was giving to others and various charities. The one closest to his heart was Give Kids the World Village.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday June 18th at Saint Gregory the Great Church, 85 Great Plain Road, Danbury. Burial with military honors will be in Saint Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
The family will receive friends at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury on Tuesday morning prior to the mass from 9:30am to 11:30am.
