

Feliciana “Fanny” Valenti, 96, of Danbury, beloved wife of the late Frank Valenti, passed into heaven on Thursday morning December 20, 2012, at Danbury Health Care Center. Fanny was born in New York City, a daughter of Vito and Teodora DiGiacomo.
Fanny lived in Brooklyn most of her life, before moving to Danbury. She loved cooking, housework and sewing.
Fanny is survived by her three children and their spouses, Elizabeth Valenti of Brooklyn, NY, Frances and Thomas DeChirico of Brooklyn, Doris and Richard Cartolano of Danbury, CT. Fanny is also survived by three grandchildren, Christine, Thomas, Jr., and Steven DeChirico, and one great grandchild Gabrielle. She also has four step grandchildren and six step great grandchildren.
She was a faithful member of Faith Church, New Milford, CT. At Faith Church she was known for playing her tambourine and always had a lovely smile for everyone. If anyone asked how Fanny was she would say “Better than you or Everything is beautiful”.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 26th, between the hours of 2 and 4 PM and 6 and 8 PM at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury. Interment will take place on Thursday, December 27 at 11:30 AM, in St. John Cemetery, Middle Village, Queens. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, January 5 at 10:00 AM, at Faith Church, New Milford, CT. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Fanny’s name to Hope Foundation for Kids, 600 Danbury Rd., Suite 1, New Milford, CT 06776. She was loved by many and will be missed.
