Fernanda was born in 1947 in Cativelos, Portugal, the daughter of the late Joaquim and Maria (dos Anjos) Prata. She had been a resident of Danbury for 53 years, and was a retired employee of the Amphenol Corporation, where she had worked in various roles for nearly 40 years.
Fernanda was a parishioner of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Danbury, and enjoyed gardening, sewing, baking, and especially spending special times with her grandchildren and family.
Fernanda is survived by her son, Nelson Oliveira and his wife Allison of New Canaan, her grandchildren Emma and Ethan Oliveira; her siblings, Helena Silva, Jose Prata, Aurora Ferreira, Gracelinda Albuquerque, Samuel Prata, Paulina Branco, and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Monday January 8, 2024 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 149 Deer Hill Ave., Danbury.
Interment at Saint Peter Cemetery, Danbury will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Friends will be received at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury on Sunday January 7, 2024 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm.
