Frances J. Schenck

She will be missed by her family: Joseph and Marcela Smalkowski of Brooklyn, NY; Sr. Frances Smalkowski, CSFN, of Monroe, CT; James and Lorraine Smalkowski of Huntington, NY; Lauren, Matthew and Valerie Klentak of Corona Del Mar, CA; Carolyn Smalkowski of Washington, DC; Stella Yesenosky of Mineral Point, PA; Agnes and Frank Smalkowski of Melbourne, FL and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

She was predeceased by her husbands: Joseph Smalkowski and James Schenck, her granddaughter, Ligia Smalkowski, her two brothers and her six sisters.

Fran enjoyed being an Associate Member of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth; a volunteer at the Pope John Paul II Care and Rehabilitation Center and the Salvation Army. Through the years, she seemed happiest dancing and telling her stories, caring for her plants, volunteering and playing cards.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, May 9, 2014 at 10:30am at St. Peter Church, Danbury. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.There are no calling hours.In lieu of flowers, contributions in Fran's memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.
