

Francis H. Breslin, 76, of New Fairfield, CT, beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017, in Danbury with his family by his side, after suffering a brief illness. Frank was predeceased by his wife of 44 years, Eileen D. (Bahr) Breslin, whom he greatly missed. They were married on September 11, 1971, at the Church Center of the United Nations in Manhattan, NY.
Frank was born on April 28, 1941, in Manhattan, NY, the son of the late Francis and Anna (Futerer) Breslin of Hyde Park, NY. Frank spoke colorfully about the family’s many moves during his childhood. He graduated from Franklin Delano Roosevelt High School in Hyde Park, NY, with the class of 1960.
Frank worked at the Poughkeepsie Journal as a photographer before joining the Army in 1962, where he was stationed in Anchorage, Alaska, and received an honorable discharge in 1965. He then began his employment with IBM in 1965 and retired in 1992. After his retirement, he worked as a contractor with IBM Latin America in Coral Gables, FL, with his wife Eileen, until her retirement in 2003, when they relocated back to New Fairfield to be closer to their children.
Frank enjoyed DIY projects around the home, restoring cars (most recently his Ford Galaxie), researching family history, and enjoying his surroundings on Ball Pond. Most important to him was his family, whom he adored. Frank is survived by his son Sean (Charlotte), daughter Erin Tibey (Chris) daughter Meghan Flynn (Jason), as well as 7 grandchildren; Reece, Ryan, Cooper, Anna, Thomas, Skyler, and most recently, Claire. Frank is also survived by his beloved sister, Patricia Frigeri of Fort Lee, NJ, as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 1:45p.m. at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, CT. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
