

Francis Edmond Rotella, 86, of Danbury, CT has entered into rest on April 21, 2016; in his home surrounded by his family. Francis was a veteran in the United States Army before he was honorably discharged in 1953; he also was a dedicated Coach to the boys’ basketball team here in Danbury, CT at St. Peters Church. Francis was a devoted sports fan who enjoyed following the New York Yankees and the New York Giants. Along with watching sports he also had a great passion for golf. Francis’s devotion went far beyond sports; he leaves behind his wife of many years Jackie (Pooler) Rotella, his daughter Janice Seidl and her husband Edward, John Rotella and his girlfriend Patty. Francis also leaves behind grandchildren Kathryn Rotella, Margaret Rotella, Brian Seidl, and Christopher and Susana Seidl. In addition Francis predeceases his great grandchildren Geslin Nunes and Jordan and Giovanna Seidl. Family and Friends may call to Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street Danbury, CT on Monday April 25, 2016 from 4-8 PM. Funeral services will continue April 26, 2016 where we will depart from the funeral home at 9:45 for a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph’s Church at 10:00am.
