A Celebration of Life will be held at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury, CT, beginning at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday October 18, 2025.
Born in Paris, France, on April 12, 1929, Francoise was the daughter of Paule Lafon (Rigal) and Andre Rigal. At 15 years old, she witnessed General George Patton and his troops enter and liberate Paris. At 18, she journeyed to America, where she worked at the French Consulate in Chicago.
She later moved to Connecticut with her childhood love, Robert Harriman, where they married and she proudly became a U.S. citizen. That marriage lasted 22 years. In 1975, she married Paul Krueger, who predeceased her in 2005.
While Francoise held various jobs over the years, she was primarily a dedicated homemaker. She filled her days with many creative pursuits—gardening, furniture refinishing, sewing, knitting, and just about anything involving crafts. Her energy, creativity, and warmth left lasting impressions on everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her sons: Andre Harriman and Richard Harriman; seven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her son, Bob Harriman; her husband, Paul Krueger; and her first husband, Robert Harriman.
