Frank M. Caponera 83, of Windsor Connecticut, died peacefully Monday June 25th 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 9th 1935 in Danbury Connecticut the son of late Arthur and Frances Caponera. He was the youngest of six children. On June 2, 1962, he married the love of his life Mary Ann (Yoney) Caponera.
He graduated from Danbury High School, and Western State University in Gunnison, Colorado with a major in Business. Shortly after his career in the paper industry began. He was employed by Georgia Pacific Corporation where he worked his way up to national sales manager before he and his wife purchased Stafford Paper Company in Somers, Connecticut.
In his spare time he enjoyed being around family, traveling, golfing, playing tennis and swimming with his daughters. Later on he enjoyed his grandsons sleeping over and going up to the office with him where they played in the warehouse and went with him to make deliveries. He also was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his loving wife Mary Ann Caponera of 56 years. Also surviving are his daughters Sue Soliwoda and Elizabeth Caponera, and grandsons Cody and Tyler Soliwoda of Farmington, Connecticut and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Peter Caponera, sisters Rose Disbrow, Gilda Massey, Christine O’Brien, and Josephine Simaleavich.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Peter Catholic Church, Danbury Connecticut on Friday July 6th 10:30am. Burial will follow at Saint Peter Cemetery, Danbury CT.
