GREAT GUY;  SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT HIS DEATH


I first met Fred at Stamford High School, he was quite the guy, handsome to say the least, I'm sure many a female classmate could attest to that.   Years later, I reunited with Fred in the service, both stationed at that time aboard the USS Fulton AS-11.  We often shared rides back to Stamford from New London.  My sincerest sympathy to Lucile, and his children.  May he rest in peace. 

Dear Mrs Maffei, Phil, Mark and Freddie,  
I was saddened to read of the passing of your dad and husband.  It doesn't seem that long ago us kids were riding bikes up your driveway on Cherokee Dr. while  he mowed and raked his impeccable lawn!  He was one of the few who always waved as we drove by with a smile on his face.  I always think of the Maffei Family with my cherished memories on Cherokee. 

May he rest easy.  Sending love and Peace to you all.

Uncle Fred may God and his angels keep you and may you look down upon your loved ones and see just how much you are loved. I remember so many things but what I remember the most is the times we were over and All the men were in the living room watching the games. And playing horse shoes was suppose to be a man thing but again I joined in. I loved being in there with you you have brought so much joy into all our lives. Love you Colleen  

To the Maffei family,
I want to thank Mark and Lucille for allowing me to care for Fred a few years ago. He was one of the most authentic men I have had the pleasure of spending time with. He will be missed by many. We had many great times together especially playing cards all day and going out to lunch and taking walks up and down the driveway. You will always be remembered. Until we meet again! Rest east my friend.. May God take you with open arms and comfort you for all eternity. 

I can remember Christmas celebration  with the family growing up . They were such happy times . Uncle Fred was a great an devoted father and husband to my Aunt Lucille. He loved family get together .  He will be  missed very much . Uncle Fred you can know rest in  pease with Our Lord . One thing I can say is we may miss him here on earth but he will always be with us all we have to do is remember all the good times we had with him and try to be the loving Person he was . 

Fred was a great guy with a lovely family including my friend, his wife, Lucille.  God Bless them all and give them strength for the coming days.   Think of the great times you have had with your hubby, dad and granddad.   My prayers are for you all!

Although we didn't meet Fred Sr. In person we have met his wife Lucille and sons. What a great family and something any dad would be proud of. Our condolences to the Maffei family and God speed Fred Maffei Sr.

The few times we met thru the years all Fred talked about was Lou his kids and especially his grandchildren  a good man taken too soon my deepest sympathies
