Glenn Lowndes

Glenn Lowndes, 60, of Waterbury, CT passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at Waterbury Hospital. He was the husband of the Donna (Bradley) Lowndes.

Glenn was born in Yonkers, NY to the late Wilfred J. and Carol Schiavone Lowndes. He attended Brookfield Schools and was a 1978 graduate of Brookfield High School. After school Glenn served in the US Army.

A 39 year employee of Danbury Hospital, Glenn was most recently a Security Coordinator. A Waterbury resident for the past 32 years, Glenn was previously of Brookfield.

Glenn enjoyed tinkering with small electronics and was a karate enthusiast.

Besides his wife, survivors include his children: Amanda Lowndes of Oakland Park, FL; and Joseph Lowndes of Waterbury, CT. His grandchildren: Layla, Evangelin and Emma. His sister: Kathleen Zilbershteyn and her husband, Boris.

Funeral Services and burial will be private.

I worked with Glenn for all of his 39 years at Danbury Hospital. It was reassuring to know he was supporting us, his co-workers. He always started each conversation with a Hi, how are you doing?
