Grace Villano, 91, passed away peacefully on February 13th, 2019 in Danbury, CT. Grace was born on January 30, 1928 in Mt. Vernon, N.Y. to the late Phillip & Maria Sabina Carlucci. Grace was predeceased by her loving husband, Angelo, and by her four siblings. Grace and Angelo made their home in Yorktown Heights, NY before retiring to Danbury, Connecticut.
Grace was a selfless and devoted mother to her children, Cynthia (son-in-law John Sackie), Robert (daughter-in-law Michele), and Ellen (son-in-law Matthew Maron), and to her beloved grandchildren Kimberly Sackie Colesano, Christopher Sackie, Daniele Villano Racanelli, Gabriele Villano Chillemi, Nikolas Villano, Tyler Maron, Christian Maron, and also to her five great-grandchildren.
Grace enjoyed her work in Accounts Payable at Reader's Digest in Pleasantville, N.Y. After her retirement, she joined the staff at Consolidated Elementary School in New Fairfield as a Cafeteria Aide, where she worked for 10 more years. She was well loved by the students, who affectionately called her “Miss Grace." She made friends, young and old, wherever she went, and she loved socializing, shopping and music. She will be dearly missed by all.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 15th at 10 am at St. Joseph's Church, Danbury, CT. with the Rev. David Franklin, Parochial Vicar, officiating.
