Hildegard Eder

Hildegard (Hilde) Eder, passed away on April 9, 2016. She was 88 years old and was born in Anning, Bavaria, Germany. She emigrated to Ridgewood, NY, in 1951, where she met her husband Fritz, also from Bavaria. After they married, they lived in Glendale, NY, for 44 years. She and her husband spent summers in Mastic Beach, Long Island, at their summer home with their children and grandchildren. They moved to Danbury in 2000, to be near their daughter and her family.

Hilde loved to cook and bake. She always had a beautiful garden. She went back to visit her family in Germany many times with her children and grandchildren.

Hilde is survived by her daughter, Hildegard and her husband Ricky Kren, of New Fairfield; her son Frederick and his wife Denise, of Sea Cliff, NY; five grandchildren, Kristina, Eric, Krista, Stephen and Alexandra; and her sister Marta Schneider, of Germany. She was predeceased by her husband Fritz.

Family and friends may call at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, on Wednesday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Edward the Confessor Church, New Fairfield, on Thursday morning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.
