

Isabel Rocchio, age 95, of Danbury, CT passed away peacefully on Monday, Sept. 14th, 2015 at The Regional Hospice and Home Care Center in Danbury. She was a native of New York City and moved to Danbury in 1983.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Giovanni and Caterina Minielli, her husband, Robert and her sisters, Elizabeth, Mary and Marion. Survivors include her daughter, Barbara and her son-in-law, James of Clinton, NJ; her grandsons Zachary and Ethan, and several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
She was an avid baker and was well known by family and friends for her wonderful baked treats. When first moving into the Danbury Commons, she volunteered at the South Street School. She enjoyed being an active member of the Entertainment Committee at the Commons and assisted with many bake sales and dinner celebrations. She also enjoyed helping out at weekly bingo. She and her sisters, Elizabeth and Mary, were often seen
together and they enjoyed resident functions throughout the years. She loved playing scrabble and often won.
Truly a special lady, she graced this world with her kindness, her generosity and her positive spirit. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Friends and family may call on Thursday, September 17th, from 4 P.M. to 7 P.M. at the Green Funeral Home on Main Street in Danbury, CT. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, September 18th at 10 A.M. at St. Peters Roman Catholic Church, Main Street, Danbury, CT. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY.
