James Patrick Chauvin

James Patrick Chauvin (Jim), age 60 of Danbury, died on February 12 at Danbury Hospital after a brief illness. He was born on July 7, 1960. He was predeceased by his mother, Mildred (Christopher) Chauvin, and his father Alexander Chauvin, Sr.

Jim is survived by his son James of Bethel and his mother Kathleen, his brothers Alexander (Banger) Chauvin of New Milford and George Chauvin and his wife Anita of Danbury. He is also survived by his former wife Lori (Patterson) Chauvin, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Jim attended Danbury schools and graduated from Henry Abbott Technical School. He worked at Danbury Printing & Litho for many years. Later he became a self-employed businessman. Jim also did home improvement jobs. He could do just about any work. He had a natural talent and could fix just about anything.

Jim had many interests. He enjoyed traveling, being outdoors, music, and riding his motorcycle. He had a great sense of humor and was always ready to laugh.

Jim was a devoted father to his son James. His son was his main priority in life. He looked forward to sharing his many talents with him as well as the many life’s lessons that he had learned.

Jim was a loyal friend. He was supportive of those that shared his struggles. He would drop everything to help out a friend in need.

Jim will be sorely missed by all that loved him. We will miss his good nature and loving personality. Jim was one of the good ones.

Jim will be laid to rest in a private service at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
