I was Jane’s next door neighbor and her passing touched me the way the passing of a family member would impact me. From day one of  Jane becoming my neighborshe was welcoming, friendly, effervescent, and positive.

We would often  have long conversations about our children and grandchildren. Jane loved children and she loved serving children, helping to bring the solutions for their needs. Jane loved her children and grands with a  very very deep  love. Every moment she spent with her grands was like paradise for her.

I will miss you dear neighbor 

Jane and I worked together and she used to say I taught her how to use a computer.  She was a wonderful nurse and friend. She was very trustworthy. She loved her family very much. She used to tell me of the many trips they took to Club Med and how she took the children to all the amusement parks on the East Coast one year.  My children also enjoyed Jane and we will cherish all the times we shared together .  Prayers for her family ; she will definitely be missed.

Jane was a great nurse and friend. She went above and beyond to ensure her patients were taken care of. If her patient needed a hearing aid battery, or was cold and needed a sweater, Jane showed up the next day with those items. Although I was her manager, I knew she would do anything for me as a friend. She loved her family so much and often spoke about them, especially her grandchildren. Jane was loved by so many and will truly be missed. 


Jane was a brave and compassionate woman. She consistently sought to alleviate the suffering of people as well as animals. 
She was an incredibly skilled nurse beloved by her patients. 
She had a deep appreciation and connection with nature in all forms. She would stop to take in a sunset, a rabbit, a flowering dogwood. 
Catching sunlight with stained glass and crystals gave her great joy. 
Her family was everything to her and she was a constant presence in their lives. It was a grace that they were all together in North Carolina. 
My deepest condolences to those who have lost such a person.

Here are some of the Clark family's best memories of Jane:

- Jane was an amazing swimmer in her teenage years on the Candlewood Isle swim team. Everybody wanted Jane to be "the backstroker" on their mixed medley team! And yes, we usually won.
- In our youth on the Isle, Jane usually provided calm and logical solutions to problems for which her peers were looking.
- Jane had a very dry, quiet sense of humor which many of us appreciated.
- We were very proud to hear about Jane's accomplishments in her nursing career. We knew she would be successful.

We're happy to have known a great person like Jane. We won't forget our good memories of her.

Jane was predeceased by her husband Leonard Springer. She leaves behind her sons, Peter (Vanessa) and Nicholas, and her daughter Jessica, all of North Carolina. Jane loved being a “Gram” to her grandsons,  Mason, Grady, and Ashton. In addition, Jane leaves her brother, Jim Piazza of New Fairfield, and sisters Debbie (Noel) MacCarry of Danbury and Margaret (Pete) Plevka of New Milford, as well as several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her brother Arthur Piazza.
