Jeanne C. Wochek

Jeanne was born on August 2 1928 a daughter to the late Shaker Shaker. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 57 years, Jack and was predeceased by her son Clifford Lay.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Tracy Lay Romeisz and her husband Tamas; Heather Lay and her life partner James Moyer; Seth Mekoski and his wife Giselle; and her great grandchildren, Gillian Romeisz, Dylan Moyer, and Natalya, Sophia and Elijah Mekoski.

She worked for Eaton Corporation in Danbury, CT until she retired. She was a devout Christian and an active member of Saint Peter Church in Danbury, CT.

She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by all blessed to have shared in her life’s journey. She received great joy from cooking and hosting gatherings for family and friends. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren are forever grateful for the abundance of love and wisdom that she shared with them. She was fondly referred to as “Gram” by many that knew her and remembered for her impeccable style and sassiness.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am on Monday, May 2, 2016 at St. Peter Church, Danbury, CT. Interment will be private. There are no calling hours.
