Jeffrey A. Forger
April 7, 1956 – July 6, 2018
Jeffrey Alois Forger of Bethel, CT, beloved husband of Patricia Kurtz Forger, died peacefully and surrounded by family on July 6, 2018 at Danbury Hospital.
Jeffrey was born in Norwalk, CT on April 7, 1956, the youngest son of Robert Durkin Forger and Eleanor Goddard Forger and grew up in Westport and Wilton, Connecticut.
He graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in Landscape Architecture and also attended West Virginia University. He had started his own landscaping business but realized that an air conditioned office was a bit more appealing.
So he was employed by the Society of Plastics Engineers for 22 years where he held several positions including Conference Director and Managing Partner of Member Services.
He then started a new career as an insurance agent and financial planner with New York Life and other companies before his long deserved retirement. Most of all he was a loving husband, son, brother, uncle and friend.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his brother, Gary, and sister-in-law Felicia, his favorite niece, Lauren, and her husband, Jay Carreiro, all of Massachusetts. He is also survived by many uncles, aunts and cousins.
Many thanks to the nurses, nursing assistants and patient care technicians at Danbury Hospital for their wonderful care and kindness.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at St. Mary Church, Bethel, CT. Burial will follow in Quaker Hill Cemetery, Pawling, NY
The family will receive friends at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury, CT on Monday, July 9, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Jeffrey – from the moment we met, we knew we were destined to be together. I will always love you. Give Mom and Dad a huge hug and kiss from me. All my love..until we meet again.

I am sorry to hear of Jeff’s passing. Jeff was one of my childhood friends and a high school soccer teammate. You could always count on Jeff to make a great save for the team, share a laugh and encourage others. I was fortunate to have experienced many adventures growing up with Jeff. My condolences to his friends and Family.

We are saddened to learn of Jeff's passing. For a significant part of my youth he was not just a great friend, but like another member of our family. He and I were together for so many important moments in my life it's hard to list them, but there is no question my life would not have been the same without him. Perhaps, most significantly, I followed him to UNH where we both charted our future paths.
I am grateful to have been able to see him at my brother's surprise 50th birthday party a few years ago.
My wife and I live outside Atlanta. We are thinking of, and praying for, Jeffrey and his family. We will light a candle in his memory at our church.

Where to start.....9/19/97....my first day - meeting Jeff with his quick wit and a sarcastic streak to match my own...his first tale was telling me how last house cleaner set alarm off and Bethel cops handcuffed her ‘til he got home! Great, I thought - this isn’t gonna last....fast forward nearly 21 years and many tales later....so many memories, so many jokes and some sadness too. I truly will miss you and promise to look after Pat! May God give you the hug you deserve and have truly earned.

I am so sorry to hear of Jeffrey's passing. It seems like only yesterday that you were planning to get married to the love of your life. I met Jeffrey a few times back in the day and he always had a smile on his face. He will be watching over you and keeping you safe.
My heartfelt condolences.

I’m so saddened to hear of your loss. Jeffrey was a terrific boss to me when I worked at SPI. He gave me many opportunities to excel in my career. I remember many SPI trips with him preparing for conferences and especially one where we sailed to the Catalina Islands with one of the sponsors. It was quite an adventure for me. I got to travel over the country because of Jeffrey. I never forgot what he did for me and I want to let you all of you know I’m so sorry for your loss.
