Born in Danbury on August 2, 1994, Jessica was the beloved daughter of Bruce and Joanne Blanchard of New Milford. She attended St. Peter School and New Milford High School, and Siena College before graduating summa cum laude from Post University with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. At the time of her passing, she was continuing her education toward a master’s degree.
Jessica found great joy in time spent with family and friends, especially during the holidays. She loved the warm fragrance of pumpkin spice, the crispness of fall in the air, and, unmistakably, her favorite leopard print. Her kindness touched the hearts of everyone who knew her. Always quick with a laugh and deeply thoughtful, Jessica never allowed a good deed to go unnoticed.
In addition to her parents, Jessica is survived by her godmother, Stephanie Pitman of Danbury; her godfather, Uncle Joseph Olejniczak and his wife, Barbara, of South Carolina; Uncle David Olejniczak and his wife, Wendy, of South Carolina; Uncle Thomas Olejniczak and his wife, Jill, of Woodbury; Uncle Lon Williamson of Oregon; Aunt Wanda Isbell of Southbury; and Great-Uncle David McCann and Fannie of Danbury. She is also survived by many cherished cousins: Zosia, David, Deanna, Robert, Jared, Krystyna, Katie, Susan, Mallory, Tommy, Mandy and numerous children and relatives of the Holot, Olejniczak, and Kaczmarek families in Poland.
Jessica also leaves behind dear friends whom she loved deeply: Jack, Loren, Billy, James, and all the women of Ann’s Place in Danbury.
She was predeceased by her grandparents, Joseph and Zofia Olejniczak of Danbury and Gerald and Sheila Blanchard of Danbury; Aunts Cathleen Olejniczak of New York and Christine Williamson of Oregon; Uncle Allen Isbell of Southbury; and her beloved pets, Goldie the goldfish and Fluffy the cat, both of New Milford.
A private funeral service will be held at St. Peter Cemetery for family and friends at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 21, 2026.
