Jessica Ann Ireland

Jessica Ann Ireland, 25 of Danbury, passed away at her home on February 22nd. Jessica was born in Danbury. She attended Danbury schools and was a graduate of the class of 2009. She later attended Western Ct State University, and Naugatuck Valley Community College. Jessica was an avid reader, enjoyed spending time with her family, playing tennis, and watching movies. She was a recipient of the Girl Scouts Gold award, loved cats, and hoped to open a homeless cat shelter. Jessica also taught religious education, and was strong in faith.

Jessica is survived by her parents, Gregory M. Ireland and Deborah M. Ireland, brothers Justin Ireland and Scott Ireland, Maternal grandparents John and Lucille Wilk of Danbury, and Paternal grandmother Bette-Anne Ireland of Danbury, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Jessica was pre-deceased by her paternal grandfather Earl "POP" Ireland of Danbury, uncles Earl Ireland Jr, Henry Zowine and cousins Ashley and Zachary Zowine, and William Wilk of Deltona, Fla.

There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church, 8 Robinson Ave., Danbury, on Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private. Green Funeral Home 57 Main St., Danbury is in charge of arrangements.
