Jimmy Lee Oates Jr.

Jimmy Lee Oates Jr., beloved husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, and friend unexpectedly passed away on April 20, 2022 at 11:05am. The Arlington, VT resident, age 53, was born in Newburgh, NY on October 3, 1968.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife, Victoria Oates; his children, Bianca Oates and Jimmy Lee Oates III; his step daughters, Samantha and Madison Nieves; his father, Jimmy Lee Oates Sr.; his brothers, Wesley and Peter Oates; his sisters Melissa, Precious, Joy, and Candy Oates; and a multitude of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. Jimmy is predeceased by his mother, Virginia Lewis, and his late wife Mariza Da Silva.

Jimmy will be remembered for his infectious laugh, his loving heart, and his unique dance moves. He grew up in Waterbury, CT where he was a graduate of Crosby High School. Before his passing, he started a successful floor care business that he managed with his family in Vermont.

To celebrate Jimmy’s life, there will be visitation hours at Walnut Hill Community Church, 156 Walnut Hill Road in Bethel, CT on Thursday, April 28th from 2-4pm, followed by a funeral service beginning at 4pm.
