He was predeceased by his daughter, Nelia Moniz.
In addition to his loving wife of 61 years, he is survived by his son: Rui Moniz and John Moniz. His daughter-in-laws: Fatima Moniz and Candace Moniz. His grandchildren: Melanie Teixeira, Antonio Teixeira, Roy Moniz, Elizabeth Moniz, Devin Moniz, and Aaron Moniz; and his great-grandson: Rodrigo Sousa.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am on Friday, May 30, 2025 at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Danbury, CT. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury, CT.
