John C. Boden

John Calvin Boden, 82, of Sherman, CT, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Saturday evening, April 16, 2016. He was the husband of Gail (Jennings) Boden. Born in New Fairfield, CT to the late John C. and Dorothy Joyce Boden, he attended New Fairfield Schools. John was a life-long finish carpenter by trade and most recently worked with Sturgess Brothers, Inc. of Ridgefield, retiring after 30 years.

Besides his wife, John is survived by his children: Melinda Supp of Cherry Valley, NY and Scott Buckley of Sherman, CT. His siblings: Shirley Silman of Westford, MA; Stanley Boden of Kent, WA and Joyce Sherman of New Fairfield, CT. 5 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2pm on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, CT. Burial will be in Coburn Cemetery, Sherman, CT. Friends will be received from 1pm-2pm on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at the funeral home.
