
Jack was born in Norwalk, CT on Oct. 15, 1927. He grew up in Westport, CT, attending school there and worked as a mate at Captain Allen’s Clam House. After graduating from Staples High School and enlisting in the US Navy, he began his life long career in the construction business.
Jack was an avid snow skier and a scratch golfer, but his passion was sailing. After his retirement, along with his wife, he sailed from Westport, CT to Key West, FL and throughout the Caribbean. For 15 years, he spent every winter in Key West. Jack loved being a grandfather and great-grandfather.
Besides his wife, Jack is survived by his daughter: Susan Howley. His son: John, Jr. and his wife, Cynthia. His brother: Thomas Howley and his wife, Joann. His grandsons: Michael, John and Christopher. Survivors also include his four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be private. There are no calling hours.
