John Richard Pimentel

Born in Gloucester, Massachusetts on October 31, 1947, he moved to Danbury, Connecticut as a young child, where he would spend his life surrounded by family, friends, and a community he proudly served.

John proudly served his country in the United States Army for two years, stationed in Germany. Following his military service, he dedicated 34 years of his life to the City of Danbury as a respected police officer. In addition to his service with the Danbury Police Department, he was a volunteer firefighter with Wooster Hose Fire Company, continuing his lifelong commitment to helping and protecting others.

Known for his loyalty, kindness, and the lasting friendships he built throughout his life, he will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know him. Above all, he cherished time with his family and was especially active in the lives of his grandchildren. Whether spending time with them, attending their activities, or simply being present, he took great pride and joy in being their grandfather. He also had a true passion for golf and enjoyed the many friendships and memories that came along with the game.

He is survived by his beloved partner, Jackie Lombardi; his sons Chris Pimentel and his wife, Christy of Newtown, and Michael Pimentel and his wife, Tracy, or New Milford and his cherished grandchildren, Remi, Kaylin, Grayson and Brooke. He is also survived by his brother, Rick Pimentel and his wife, Diane, his niece and nephew, Jen and Jonathan Pimentel, as well as many dear friends and extended family members.

John's dedication to his country and community, love for his family, and gift of friendship will leave a lasting legacy. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 28th, 2026 from 4 - 7 PM at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury, CT.
