He is survived by brother Edward and his wife Linda; by sister Eleanor (Sissy) and her husband Brent Miller, sister-in-law Ethel (Tunnie) married to the late Joseph, sister-in-law Florence married to the late Francis, brother-in-law Charles Kroha and his wife Linda and sister-in-law Ruth Garbett and her husband Thomas. He was also pre-deceased by sister Dorothy and her husband Norman Carvalho. He was loved and treasured by a large family including several nieces and nephews along with their spouses and children.
He was born in Danbury, CT on March 13, 1937, son of the late Andrew and Eleanor (Bahr) Pudelko. John lived in Danbury all his life and graduated from the Danbury school system. His family owned the East End Service Station/Garage for many years, and he was a member of the Beaver Brook Volunteer Fire Department along with his brothers.
After retiring as a machinist from Bodahl’s in Brookfield, John spent a lot of time in his workshop repairing various electronics and making wooden toys and whirligigs for family and friends. During their 56 years of marriage, he and Pat loved to camp and traveled often with local senior centers.
A visitation for John will be held Thursday, September 12, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, September 13, 2024 at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 12 Cottage St., Danbury. Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
