

Joseph was born in Danbury, CT to Dido and Audrey Dinho on 03/28/1947.
Joseph went to St Peters School, Brookfield JR school & Danbury High school where he was on the football team. After high school he joined the Marines and served honorably from 1966-1971. He was deployed to Vietnam where he served on Force Recon leading a small team of men behind enemy lines to gather Intel - he jumped out of planes, swam out of submerged submarines and disappeared into the jungle to get the job done. He was well traveled during his service visiting many countries.
During his military service he met his first wife in 1968, Maria Eugenia, whom he married at 21. This resulted in the start of his family legacy with the birth of his first son.
He later divorced and met his second wife, Maria H. Sousa, whom brought into this world two more beloved children.
He was a very capable/resourceful man. He did everything himself on his first family house - remodeled it from the ground up. Plumbing, electrical, roof & walls, bathroom & kitchen, all done by him with the help of close-knit family.
He fixed cars - his, his friends, his family's and also his children's. He kept things running and working for his entire life.
Joseph Dinho is preceded in death by his father Dido Dinho, and his mother Audrey (Williams) Dinho, and his brother Gary Dinho.
Joseph is survived by His 3 Sons: Joseph A. Dinho, Christopher M. Dinho, & Kevin M. Dinho; His 7 grandchildren: Conner, Sydney, Ava, Coral, Trenten, Lorelei, and Tristan. He is also survived by his Sister in law & Niece and Nephews: Alice, Jeffery, Jason & Jessica; as well as many other beloved family members. Joseph is also survived by both his ex-wives, Maria Eugenia & Maria H. Sousa.
He was the best friend of his second ex wife Maria H. (Sousa) Dinho, and spent much time with her even after divorced.
Joseph was a great father and an amazing pop-pop whom has always provided and helped his family or friends whenever needed. He is loved and will be missed by many... most of all, his children and grandchildren which he loved to spend time with.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 2 -5 PM at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury.
