Dave was born in Woodside, Queens, NY to the late David and Ethel Jamieson. He was a graduate of the Manhattan High School of Aviation Trades and served in the US Navy in the 82nd Airborne.
A 25-year resident of Bethel, Dave was previously of Danbury. He was a longtime employee of Ethan Allen in Danbury and most recently with A & M Transportation.
Dave was active in the local industrial softball leagues and had a passion for golf, paying well into his later years. He was nicknamed the “Swing Doctor” by those asking for pointers.
Survivors include his step-son: Paul A. Doto, Jr. and his wife, Lori, with whom he made his home. His stepson: Mark Dangaard of Danbury. His grandson: Paul (Melissa) of Bordentown, NJ; and Ryan (Ashley) of Danbury. His great-grandchildren: Michael, Alyssa and Addison.
Besides his wife and parents, Dave was predeceased by his stepson, John Doto.
Dave was a kindhearted man who will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Burial will be in Wooster Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
