Juan was born in the Dominican Republic and resided in Danbury most of his life. He worked at The Old Oak restaurant in Danbury. He loved playing dominoes.
Juan is survived by his wife of 60 years, Maria Urena. He is also survived by Miladys Rodriguez, Casilda Ramirez, Rosalbania Rosa, Generosa Reyes, Juan Avelino Urena, Viviana Urena, Reyna Almonte, Diamela Urena, Jose Urena and Juan Almonte. He is recently predeceased by his son, Ruben Almonte, and is also survived by 25 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren.
Friends and family will be received at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, CT on Monday October 13th, from 4-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday October 14th, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Danbury at 10am. Interment will immediately follow at St. Peter Cemetery in Danbury.
