Judy was born on April 17, 1942 in Stamford, CT to Ann and Joseph Sandor. She was the oldest of four children. Anna Dudas, Judy’s grandmother, helped to raise the three children.
Growing up in the Cove in Stamford, one of Judy’s fondest memories was visiting the rose garden at St. Benedict’s church with her grandmother (babička) each day.
Judy loved animals, especially horses. She learned to ride at a young age, and owned a Palomino and a Bay. She passed on the love for horses to her daughter, Laura. Pets were always treated like children and she took great pleasure in caring for her animals. Judy also enjoyed creative arts and music. She was a very talented artist, as well as had a lovely singing voice.
Judy’s strength, grace and fortitude during her life, carried over to her battle with ovarian cancer, and has been an inspiration to her children. She always managed to laugh during chemo and challenge her doctors and nurses. Her determination and independence always got her through difficult times, and has been a lesson to her family. As Judy would say “you can’t go back, you can’t go forward, all you have is today”.
Judy is survived by her children Laura & Mark, Carolyn, Michael, and Marybeth & Brian; grandchildren Sidney and Ian; siblings Steven & Diane, and Alice & family; niece and nephews Tracey & Jon and Joe. Judy also had very special family members in her life she loved very much; Barbara, Felix, Felix Jr., Keith, Paul, Craig and Georgiana and their families.Judy is predeceased by her brother, Phillip.
A memorial in Judy’s honor will be held at St. Benedict’s Church in Stamford, CT. Green funeral home, etc.

“Your end, which is endless, is as a snowflake dissolving in the pure air.”
(Buddhist Saying)
Do not stand at my grave and weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep;
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there, I did not die.
Mary Frye, American poet (1904 - 2004)
I Carry Your Heart With Me
I carry your heart with me (I carry it in my heart).
I am never without it (anywhere I go you go, my dear;
and whatever is done by only me is your doing, my darling).
I fear no fate (for you are my fate, my sweet) I want
no world (for beautiful you are my world, my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you.
Here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows
higher than soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart.
I carry your heart with me (I carry it in my heart).
E.E. Cummings
