Judith M. Sapone

Judy was born in Lebanon, OR, a daughter of the late Sidney Silas Grugett. and Leah Haddie Gruggett. She attended high school in Canyonville, Oregon.

Judy got a degree in accounting and throughout the years worked temp jobs in order to be able to travel to see her family.

Judy and Richard were married by her mother who was a minister with The First Assembly of God Church. As Richard likes to tell the story, he was led by God to join the military and go to Oregon to meet and marry the love of his life. He brought her back and raised their family in Connecticut. When they retired, they moved back to Oregon. After Judy had a brief illness, they moved back to CT and eventually settled in Florida.

Judy was predeceased by her mother and father and her two brothers Dick and Dave Grugett.

In addition to her husband of 65 years, survivors include her sister, Erma Duncan,;her sister-in-law, Mary Grugett; and her daughters: Doreen (Kevin) Tallent, Judy (Tom) Sapone, Erma (Donald) Principe; and her son, Richard Charles (Theresa) Sapone Jr. Her grandchildren: Renee (Michael) Sapone, Christopher (Brooke) Gibb, Rachal (Brian) Graumann Catherine Gibb, Matthew Principe and Leah Principe. Her great grandchildren: Sarah Sapone, Audrey and Garrett Gibb and one more on the way.

There will be a graveside service at Wooster Cemetery (section 23) in Danbury, CT on November 16,2023 at 11:00am.
