Justin was born at Danbury Hospital. From the moment he arrived, Justin was a sweet and quiet soul. He was such a happy baby with a huge imagination. Timeouts were always a complete fail because he would turn his fingers into puppets and play contentedly. As Justin grew up, he continued to enjoy the simple things in life. He was always ready to give things up to help others -he was generous, and never unkind.
Justin attended Pembroke Elementary School, Broadview Middle School, and was a 2022 graduate of Danbury High School. Justin loved being on the wrestling and track teams and spending time with his friends. He loved writing and playing music on his keyboard – his piano teacher once said that if he would just learn to read music he could be as good as Billy Joel.
Justin loved being outside - you could find him either out on a bike ride, jumping and doing flips on the trampoline, or playing wildly imaginative games with the neighbors. When indoors, he loved to build things -as a child, Justin was always playing with Legos, as he got older, it was Minecraft. He had been hoping to find work in construction.
Justin is survived by his loving parents, Brien and Kim, his big brother, Brien, and his little sister, Haley. Surviving grandparents are his maternal grandmother Lynn Holmes of Southbury, maternal grandfather and step-grandmother, Bill and Laraine Holmes from Woodbury; paternal grandparents, Fred and Mary Karen Merrill from Newtown, plus multiple aunts, uncles, cousins and an amazing close group of friends. Justin will be missed deeply by everyone who knew him.
