Justine Rose Erdmann, 96, died peacefully in January of 2022. Justine ("Tina") was born in 1925 to the late Antonio and Rose (Arnone) Lipsi. She graduated with an RN degree in 1945 from the Danbury Hospital School of Nursing, and worked at the Danbury Hospital for many years on the various floors and later as a recovery room nurse at the Hospital and at the Danbury Surgical Center.
Tina was the beloved wife of the late Bernard J. Erdmann Sr. for 45 years, and sister to Louise F. McDevitt and the late Donald J. Lipsi. She is survived by her children Margaret (James) Lengen, Bernard (Edward Gaela) Erdmann Jr., and Kenneth (Veronica Cizik) Erdmann, and her many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Tina volunteered for many years at Regional Hospice of Western Connecticut in Danbury and enjoyed golfing and bridge. Tina was a member of her social group "The Mugwumps", and a founding parishioner of St. Gregory the Great Parish. Most of all, "Auntie Tina" loved nothing more than her family and friends seated around the dining room table enjoying a special dinner and dessert (and always with ice cream!).
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 12, at Saint Gregory the Great Church, 85 Great Plain Road in Danbury. Please observe all Covid masking and social distancing recommendations. Interment will immediately follow at Saint Peter Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are in the care of The Green Funeral Home. Donations in memory of Justine may be made to Regional Hospice of Western Connecticut, 30 Milestone Road, Danbury, Connecticut, 06810.
