Kathleen “Kay” Buckley Coughlan, age 97 of Danbury, formerly of New York died on November 20, 2011. She was the beloved wife of the late James Coughlan. Kay was born July 21, 1914 in Bronx, NY the daughter of the late Mortimer and Agnes (Byrne) Buckley. Prior to her residing in Danbury, Kay had lived in the Bronx, Shrub Oak, and Somers, NY areas.
Kay was the loving mother of Kathleen C. Powell and her husband Jordan of Danbury, the loving grandmother of Diana Powell and Kathleen Powell, and aunt/great aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will take place on Wednesday November 23rd at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury at 10:00am. Interment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx, NY. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5 thru 8pm.
