What has been so inspirational is how all of the Kelly family surrounded my Aunt Kathy with love and dignity and continue to do so in her memory.  

She was special and beautiful and kind.  Plus my dad, her brother Mike, held her on a pedestal.  She may have been his favorite person, ever and if you remember my dad, he could be a pretty rough customer.  But, this was never the case when it came to Kathy.

God love her.  Her memory will make this a great day.

Kathy was always so good to us.  My father was the oldest in the family and Kathy was the youngest.  Although Dad could be rough and tumble and very outspoken, Kathy was his favorite---no hiding it.  When he spoke of her, he only used superlatives to describe how great and wonderful she was.  And such high praise was reserved to her, and her alone.  He greatly admired her husband, Mike and was so happy that they were a couple.
My mom loved Kathy and Kathy loved my mom.  Even with mom's advanced dementia she still remembers Kathy and speaks of her glowingly.  It keeps her going.  I haven't had the heart to tell mom that Kathy is gone.  Even in death, Kathy is still uplifting the spirits of others. 

I was saddened to learn of Kathy's passing, She was a well-liked and well-respected classmate of mine at both SPS and DHS.

Kathy and I were in ninth grade history class together.  Kathy stood up and said,”I’m KATHY White.  Who are you?”  I answered  “Amy Kelly”, and we were friends ever since.  We were in another class together, and a boy walked by.  She said, “I think he’s so cute.”  I said, “Do you want to meet him?”  She questioned, “Do you know him?”  I answered, “I should.  He’s my brother.”  I introduced them, and they’ve been together ever since until Kathy died.  I’m sure Michael will mourn his loss for the rest of his life.

Still very hard to believe and comes as shock, and so saddened to learn of  Aunt Kathy's passing. May the comfort of family and friends, fine memories, and the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, be of assistance in coping with this very difficult time.  I shall always remember her many talents, gifts, accomplishments, good deeds and kindnesses.

Kathy (White) Kelly, of Danbury, CT passed away peacefully on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2022.


She was the wife of Michael A. Kelly.


Also surviving are her children: Carolyn (Jeffrey) Kelly-Winter and Michael B. (Kelly) Kelly; and her 4 grandchildren.
